Keep your journal and pen handy to record your experiences and what God is teaching you. Remember it best to go ‘old school’ and just take your Bible for this. There is no electricity where we are camping.
Cash and Debit/Credit Card
There’s not a lot to buy where we are camping, except for cold drinks. No need for local currency.
Medication
Please remember to inform me if you have any medical concerns
Appropriate Clothing
Take time to think about what clothes you really need for your trip. Less is more and packing space is limited in the vehicles and trailers. In the campsite casual clothing is fine. When we go out to minister is it best to wear culturally-appropriate clothing is needed. Men: Collared shirts and long pants. For women a long dress or long skirt and a loose fitting blouse.
Non-Perishable Snacks
Tuck away durable snacks like granola bars, biltong, droë wors, trail mix or oatmeal. Don’t worry about packing enough to last your whole trip. Just bring a few to tide you over when needed. Snacks (nuts, packaged food that does not require refrigeration and, if you will be in a hot climate, won’t melt!)
Tea, coffee, water, and energy drinks will be supplied.
